The demand for agricultural land is increasing across the world with the rise in commodity prices from 2007 – 2008. Previously, agriculture specific regions were concentrated in Latin America, East Asia and the Sub-Saharan region, but recently many new regions have been developed due to the increasing demand for agricultural produce.
